Our first ever blend, a single origin that is intentionally crafted to meet a very specific flavour profile.
Tasting Notes: Fizzy Gummy Cola Bottles, Cherry Candy, Grenadine
Intended for filter only and we recommended to drink it black (no milk or alt-milks).
Ever since we sold out of Cherry Cola 2.0, we've constantly been asked when it will be back. Since Cherry Cola 2.0 was a microlot with limited production, there was no more coffee available to for us to bring in. So we tinkered and experimented with around 30+ blend variations and finally found a combination that achieved the intended flavour profile.
Blends have a bad rap because the perception is that they are used to mask low quality coffee or to hide traceability of unethically sourced beans.
However, we do things differently at Pirates of Coffee. This single origin blend is crafted from 2 different coffees produced by 2 farmers in Colombia with 2 different processing methods: an anaerobic natural process castillo produced by Felipe Trujillo and a washed process caturra produced by Pablo Andres Guerrero.
